I like your words better Maryse, “the tears will say how strong we are”. Just beautiful. And a wonderful history lesson. Had forgotten the Beatles ended that year (1963). I remember seeing movies where girls fainted at the sight of the Beatles! Perhaps this was a way of feeling joy in spite of loss. We cannot continue to stay sad forever. And kudos to your mother-in-law for embracing life. Not everyone is able to do this, but her example may have inspired others around her. As do you and your writing. Glad to hear from you again! Awesome! And thank you for such a wonderful tribute. My best friend’s daughter was killed in the Pentagon plane – the day was horrific for so many, many people. I will never forget it. And sadly, it’s my husbands birthday. My son also quit college that day and joined the Army – which led to a nightmarish deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan. Years of tears!
